ReFrame Rise™ is a comprehensive and customized two-year program designed by ReFrame, a Women in Film and Sundance Institute collaboration, to accelerate high-level, sustainable advancement for mid-career women, nonbinary and trans directors and cinematographers. ReFrame Rise is supported by Netflix.

The program provides Rise fellows with introductions to industry sponsors and offers participation at in-person filmmaker events, including the Sundance Film Festival; closed-door Q&As with industry leaders on relevant mid-career topics; and career strategy sessions to support fellows with publicity, materials development and pitching. The 2025-2026 ReFrame Rise cohort is comprised of 11 women and nonbinary filmmakers specficially based in Los Angeles, to maximize in-person community and industry relationship building, as well as to support LA film workers at this time.
